Restaurant Ranch Three Ways

This week has gone by so fast and seemed to last forever all at the same time. I am sure you have had those weeks too. Due to the crazy busy weeks we have been having, I have been cooking many simple recipes. The ones that have ingredients you have in the house all the time and are easy to cook and clean up. Also recipes that are easily adaptable. Variety is the spice of life. Right?

Speaking of go to recipes. One thing that always can be found in our fridge is my homemade restaurant style ranch. The ranch is so easy to make, but what I really love about it is that you can easily adapt it to make it a new dressing. We also regularly enjoy BBQ Ranch, Chipotle Ranch, and Cilantro Avocado Ranch. All three of these are so easy to make and are quick additions to the already easy recipe. If we are having a BBQ Chopped Salad, the BBQ ranch pairs perfectly. For chicken tacos, the Cilantro Avocado Ranch is so delicious. These three quick adaptations can make your ranch dressing all dressed up!

Restaurant Ranch Three Ways:

Base Ingredients:

1/2 tsp Parsley
1/2 tsp Garlic Salt
1/4 tsp Oregano
1/8 tsp Mustard Powder
scant 1/8 tsp Paprika
Dash of Pepper
Squirt of Lemon Juice
Directions:

Mix 1 cup of Mayonnaise and 1 cup of Buttermilk until smooth. Mix in herbs and spices and stir until combined. Add a squirt of lemon juice and mix one final time. Mix in the additions. Put Ranch Dressing in a sealed container of your choice and store in the fridge.

Cilantro Avocado Ranch:

Additions:
1/2 Avocado and 1 Tbsp of chopped cilantro

So throw out your bottled ranch and go for this homemade version and then adapt it to any flavor you fancy. I also make a Buffalo Ranch and a Lemon Pepper Ranch, I hope you get really creative with your ranch too! I usually make a batch of ranch and then divide it up into small mason jars and adapt them from there, so I have a variety in the fridge. Enjoy friends!

Here’s to the variety and ranch always in the fridge,
